About the release

The 9.9.0 release is the ninth monthly update for Datto RMM in 2021. Along with numerous fixes and improvements, some of the highlights are listed below.

Updates to the New UI

  • Long-term device metrics. To improve troubleshooting and capacity planning, you can now view up to 90 days of CPU and memory metrics for any Agent-based device. Choose how much data you want to see, ranging from the last hour up to the last three months. The graphs can be exported in PNG format. Refer to Metrics.
  • Quick access to Filters and Groups. To streamline navigation, you can now access a list of device filters and device groups straight from the Devices and Site Summary pages. Refer to List of devices.
  • Topology map legend. You can now view a quick reference of what the different lines and colors used in the map represent. You can also drag the legend around the map as needed. Refer to Network Discovery topology map.

Antivirus improvements

  • New antivirus engine support. F-Secure Protection Service for Business, Bitdefender Internet Security, and McAfee Total Protection will now be automatically detected. Alerts can also be configured to detect when they are not running or updated. Refer to Antivirus products.
  • Other improvements. We have also improved Symantec Endpoint Protection detection on server operating systems.

Feature RMM-12419 You can now add or remove metrics from the Metrics card on the Device Summary page. Refer to Metric Selection.
Feature RMM-12420 You can now adjust the date range of results displaying on the Metrics card on the Device Summary page. Refer to Date Range.
Feature RMM-12431 You can now export results to PNG format from the Metrics card on the Device Summary page. Refer to Export.
Fix RMM-12142 We fixed an issue where the Jobs page in the New UI was inacessible after a shared component was deleted in the current UI.
Fix RMM-12373 We fixed a graphical issue causing some elements to be misaligned when creating a monitor in the New UI.
Fix RMM-12489 We fixed an issue that was causing an error to occur when onboarding an ESXi device from the New UI.
Fix RMM-12504 We fixed an issue where the Hostname column on the Site Summary page would display hostnames from other sites during navigation.
Fix RMM-12566 We fixed an issue where the Recent Alerts widget would not recover automatically if it was unable to retrieve data, and would display an error.

Web Remote

Fix RMM-12404 We fixed an issue in which the Shift key was not being detected in RDP sessions initiated from a remote device.

Autotask PSA Integration

Fix RMM-11731 We fixed an issue where Autotask PSA ticket creation would occasionally be delayed until after an alert was resolved, causing the ticket to remain open.
Fix RMM-12334 We fixed an issue causing a 403 error to be encountered when attempting to map Datto RMM sites to Autotask PSA companies.

Agent Browser

Fix RMM-12413 We fixed an issue where the Agent Browser would not update the list of available devices when switching between multiple Datto RMM accounts.

Agent update

Antivirus

Monitoring

Network Management

Ransomware Detection

Feature RMM-11284 We now digitally sign the PowerShell script used by Ransomware Detection to isolate a device and launch it with the AllSigned execution policy to reduce the risk that the operation will be blocked by security software. Refer to Ransomware monitor only.
