The Update History list does not reflect patches installed by Datto RMM Patch Management in Windows 10

Resolution

Datto RMM performs patch scans and installations via the Windows Update API. The Windows Update settingsuser interface is only updated when a user manually checks for updates via the interface. The View Update History page does not reflect activities done via the API.

Procedure

From the View Update History page, click Uninstall updates. This will show a list of patches that have been installed on the device. Patches installed by a Datto RMM Patch Management policy will also appear on the device summary page. Refer to Device summary.

Viewing the full update history of a device

To view the full update history of a device, including patches installed outside of Datto RMM, run the Windows Update Toolkit component from the ComStore.
