Webroot in the New UI Q&A
This topic provides answers to a number of common questions to help you transition from the legacy Webroot Endpoint Security Integration in the legacy UI to Webroot in the New UI.
How do site mappings work in the New UI, and what will happen to my current site mappings in the existing integration?
Site mappings are no longer required in the New UI. In order to deploy Webroot SecureAnywhere® Endpoint Protection using policy or component-based installation methods, site-specific license keys and other installation parameters are configured via variables at either the global or site level.

What is the most efficient way to migrate many site mappings and keys set within my existing integration to individual sites?
You have the option to populate and import a list of site variables in bulk via a CSV file.

If I am removing the Webroot Security Management policy, how can I deploy Webroot to target devices?
We recommend deploying Webroot proactively using a Software Management policy. Alternatively, for ad-hoc installations, use the Webroot SecureAnywhere installation components that are available from the ComStore.
Datto RMM features flexible deployment options. You may consider an alternative method if you require a more complex setup.

In Software Management, I do not have access to any Webroot installation options as I did in the Webroot Security Management policy. How do I configure parameters such as the target device's Console Group?
Configure these options using variables, either at the global or site level. Similar to component-based installation, Software Management will apply these values automatically where specified.
NOTE Webroot does not currently support Console Group assignment during macOS installations.

Upon removal of the legacy UI integration, how can I perform Webroot-specific actions on an endpoint in Datto RMM?
A feature built into the New UI allows you to run remote actions on devices on which Webroot SecureAnywhere Endpoint Protection is detected. No integration is required.
You can now perform a number of Webroot-specific tasks from the Device Summary page or device list pages. Refer to Run Webroot-specific remote actions.
Why are some previously available Webroot-specific options missing in the New UI?
We have removed any options associated with a number of features for which Webroot has deprecated support. Where possible, complete any extended remote actions within the Webroot SecureAnywhere Global Site Manager Console.
In the New UI, why am I no longer able to uninstall Webroot remotely?
For security reasons, the latest versions of Webroot SecureAnywhere do not support remote uninstallation in this manner, so this option has been removed. To uninstall the product, you must trigger the removal from within the Webroot SecureAnywhere Global Site Manager Console or manually on the device (via safe mode with networking).

How do I identify Webroot installation issues that require troubleshooting?
Datto RMM's universal antivirus detection can identify devices targeted by a Webroot installation but on which no such installation has been detected. Refer to Antivirus detection.
Actions related to Webroot installation tasks executed in Datto RMM are written to the target device’s logs.
With the Webroot Security Monitor unavailable within the New UI, how can I monitor Webroot on a targeted endpoint?
You can use either Datto RMM’s built-in universal antivirus detection functionality or the Monitoring component, both configurable via Monitoring policy, which will alert you to devices where Webroot is not installed or is otherwise inactive.
Webroot-specific application monitoring (for example, alerts to issues requiring attention on a device, licensing issues, or an infected endpoint) can be achieved by using our Webroot SecureAnywhere Monitor component, available from the ComStore.
