Troubleshooting .NET issues
Datto RMM runs as a .NET service on Windows devices. Corrupted, missing, or incorrect .NET versions can cause numerous problems with the Datto RMM Agent. When the installed version of .NET is corrupted, you will likely see object reference errors in the Datto RMM log files. Refer to Agent log files. .NET issues can corrupt the Datto RMM Agent's files as well.
Resolution
- Uninstall the Datto RMM Agent completely. Refer to Uninstall the Agent on Windows, Uninstall the Agent on macOS, or Uninstall the Agent on Linux.
- Run the .NET Repair Tool.
- Reinstall the Datto RMM Agent on the device. Refer to Adding a device.
