Software uninstalled via the Software card stuck at "Uninstalling"
Issue
When using the Uninstall button on the device Software card to remove software from a device, the software becomes stuck at Uninstalling.
Resolution
The Uninstall functionality uses the software’s vendor-provided MSI file to remove the software from the device. In some situations, the uninstaller may leave files and registry entries on the device. In these cases, Datto RMM is unable to verify that the software has successfully been removed.
When this occurs, the software may end up stuck in a status of Uninstalling on the device page within Datto RMM.
In order to clear this status, you must manually remove any left over files and/or registry entries that the uninstaller did not remove. This status will remain until these leftover records are manually removed from the device.
NOTE Datto RMM Support is unable to assist in manual uninstallation of third party programs. Please refer to the software vendor documentation in these cases.
