About the release

The 14.2.0 release is the fourth of our 2025 releases. Please see below for the highlights, along with the full list of fixes and improvements. As always, we look forward to your feedback as we continue to improve the product every single month.

Initiating a Datto AV scan

You can now initiate Datto AV scans directly from Datto RMM, giving technicians quicker access to antivirus actions without having to switch to Datto EDR.

When Datto AV is active on a device, new Quick Scan and Full Scan options are available from the ⋮ (ellipses) menu in the Security card on the device summary page.

Notes on functionality:

  • A scan can be initiated only once per device per hour.
  • Scan results are not shown in Datto RMM. Alerts will surface through Datto EDR if necessary.
  • In-app toast messages confirm initiation or errors (for example, scan failed, AV not installed, or already run recently).

Reverting device isolation from Datto RMM

You can now revert device isolation for Datto EDR-protected devices directly within Datto RMM.

When a device’s Datto EDR status is Isolated, a Revert Isolation option appears in the Security card on the device summary page.

New Windows Server default device filter

A new default device filter has been added for Microsoft Windows Server 2025 devices, named MS Win Server 2025.

Additions to the ComStore

We release new ComStore components and update existing ones every month. Notable additions this month include the following:

  • We are steadily rolling out support for Arm64 architectures in ComStore components for Windows (and, by extension, for Software Management). So far, we have added Arm64 support for 7-Zip, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox. More are coming soon!
  • Datto EDR: Reset Defender Management [WIN]: Runs the three most common Windows checking programs sequentially and can, if instructed, fix any issues it finds.
  • Detect Boot Type [WIN]: This new beta component uses a different detection method to check which services are running on the endpoint. As this component is in beta, you may encounter issues. Please report all feedback to Support.

ComStore Integrations

  • BlackBerry Cylance is now known as Arctic Wolf Aurora. Please ensure your components are up to date.
  • Datto RMM now integrates with NetArx. The NetArx Flurp agent can be deployed via its new ComStore component.

Other news

  • Mozilla Thunderbird is back in Software Management after a brief absence.

NOTE  To access a full list of ComStore components, refer to List of ComStore components.
