Reduced device sync latency between Datto RMM and Datto EDR
In collaboration with Datto EDR, the integration's API has been enhanced for improved sync efficiency.
Previously, device information was retrieved individually, potentially exceeding the four-hour cycle.
New endpoints now support batch-loading agent data, enabling the retrieval of up to 500 devices per site (paginated) or up to 100 devices by UID in a single request.
These enhancements significantly enhance reliability and reduce sync times for large tenant environments.
RapidFire Tools component
The RapidFire Tools Discovery Agent is now available as a Datto RMM component to enable easy deployment.
Additions to the ComStore
We release new ComStore components and update existing ones every month. Notable additions this month include the following:
- .NET Desktop Runtime [WIN]: This component is now available via the ComStore and Software Management.
- Windows Check (DISM/SFC/ChkDsk) [WIN]: Runs the three most common Windows checking programs sequentially and can, if instructed, fix any issues it finds.
- Server Role Detection v3 Beta [WIN]: This new beta component uses a different detection method to check which services are running on the endpoint. As this component is in beta, you may encounter issues. Please report all feedback to Support.
- Microsoft Remote Desktop Client [WIN]: Microsoft has deprecated the Microsoft Remote Desktop client and replaced it with Windows App. As such, we're removed this component from the ComStore.
ComStore Integrations
- RapidFire Tools Discovery Agent [WIN]: This new component installs the RapidFire Tools Discovery Agent on Windows devices.
- Nanitor CTEM Agent Installer [WIN]: This new component installs the latest Nanitor CTEM Agent on Windows devices.
NOTE To access a full list of ComStore components, refer to List of ComStore components.

Download job results via API
New API endpoints under v2/job now allow retrieval of job results, including StdOut and StdErr.
Users can run a quick job via the API with any component and programmatically fetch the results once completed.
This enhancement expands automation possibilities for our scripting community, including retrieving custom audit data for external systems.
NOTE The existing endpoint for running a quick job is /v2/device/{deviceUid}/quickjob.
Improved ConnectWise device mapping
The automatic device mapping has been improved by removing the option to map a device when no matching hostname or serial number is found, helping to prevent duplicates.
Universal antivirus detection for Datto AV on macOS
Universal antivirus detection now detects and accurately displays the status of Datto AV on macOS devices when present. Refer to Antivirus status.
Splashtop Streamer uninstallation if idle time increased
The Datto RMM 12.9.0 release in April 2024 introduced an attack surface reduction strategy to remove idle Splashtop Streamers that hadn't been used for remote control in at least 30 days. Based on customer feedback, this time frame was found to be too short, leading to unnecessary reinstallations. The threshold has now extended to 90 days. Refer to Automatic uninstallation details.
Allow BMS to trigger "Run Component" RMM action via Cooper Bots
The BMS: Ticket Created trigger has been added to the Cooper Bots Business Process Automation engine, functioning similarly to the existing Autotask: Ticket Created trigger.
This trigger allows the Datto RMM: Run Component action to execute any script component available in the customer's library, enabling automated responses to certain issues.
EXAMPLE Automatically run an internet connectivity analysis when an end user creates a ticket about slow internet.
Microsoft 365 Manager dashboard widget
In this release we introduce the first M365 Manager dashboard widget. This widget displays the number of users in a tenant split by members and guests. For more information, refer to the Widget Library.
Additions to the ComStore
We release new ComStore components and update existing ones every month. Notable additions this month include the following:
- Datto Endpoint Backup: Retrieve Errors and Warnings from Logs [WIN]: This component allows users to follow up on monitor responses from Datto Endpoint Backup, or support tickets, with information from the local system's log files, which may indicate issues.
- Toggle 'New Outlook' Migration Setting [WIN]: This component allows users to opt out of being automatically migrated to the new Outlook.
ComStore Integrations
- Datto Secure Edge [WIN/MAC]: This component now automatically launches in the user's desktop session in order to facilitate easy device registration.
NOTE To access a full list of ComStore components, refer to List of ComStore components.

ConnectWise PSA Integration configuration in the New UI
The ConnectWise PSA Integration can now be configured in the New UI.
This new implementation of the integration features a modernized look and feel while retaining functionality similar to the legacy UI.
Certain features have been refined, such as providing clearer control over the automatic device mapping logic.

New device filters for Windows versions
Users can now create device filters based on the Windows Display Version.
Both the Windows Version (for example: 10.0.22631.4460) and the Windows Display Version (for example: 22H2, 23H2) are now available as filter criteria. This removes the need to utilize a UDF and the Windows Build Identification Tool component to filter on the Windows Display Version.
New Windows version column filter in device lists
Users can not filter device lists by Windows Version to identify devices that are out of compliance due to falling below a required update version.
Enhanced patches list
The patches list at the global, site, and device levels has been improved to include more detailed information, enabling filtering using expanded patch data. New features have been added to offer greater customization options for the interface.

Datto EDR stability enhancements
IMPORTANT Going forward, disabling an Endpoint Security policy or turning off the Datto Endpoint Security toggle in an Endpoint Security policy will no longer automatically uninstall Datto EDR.
The following bug fixes and enhancements have been implemented to improve the Datto EDR Integration:
- Installation changes: Datto RMM will no longer install Datto EDR in the CentraStage folder and rather install in the default, EDR-defined location.
- Stale data corrections: The Datto RMM service will now process status updates sequentially to ensure the last known status is shown.
- Increased heartbeat interval: The interval before a Datto EDR device is marked as Needs Attention (status) based on no JSON update has been increased to six minutes, mirroring the EDR-expected maximum time to update the JSON. This should provide improved status congruency between EDR and RMM.
- Mac binaries corrected: Legacy AMD64 binaries were previously used for all Mac installations. This has been corrected so that Intel (previous generation) and Apple Silicon (current generation) devices receive the correct installation binary.
- Promotional emails no longer sent: Legacy Datto promotional emails were being sent in certain scenarios. This has been corrected.
Autotask Integration: Management removed from legacy UI
The Autotask Integration has been deprecated in the legacy UI to mitigate issues caused by having the integration configurable in both locations.
Additions to the ComStore
We release new ComStore components and update existing ones every month. Notable additions this month include the following:
- WinGet V2 [WIN]: This component is an updated version of the Update WinGet Installed Applications [WIN] component with additional configuration options.
- Domain Controller Monitor v3 [WIN]: This component replaces the old Domain Contoller Monitor v2 [WIN] component and now supports read-only DCs in addition to added reporting reliability.
- Datto Secure Edge [MAC]: This component was added to facilitate installation of Datto Secure Edge on macOS devices.
- Datto Endpoint Backup (Unified) Monitor [WIN]: This new monitoring component replaces the deprecated Datto Endpoint Backup (v1) Monitor component.
