NOTE *The schedule is subject to change. Check the Status page for regular updates. Any changes made to the original schedule are denoted in red.
NOTE There is a slight adjustment to the 2025 release schedule to distribute platform updates more evenly across a two-week deployment window. This change allows more time to address any issues identified during the deployment, ensuring a higher-quality customer experience overall.
IMPORTANT This is a full platform and Agent release; therefore, partners should expect brief disconnections of the Agent during the update window.
Legacy UI deprecation notice:
With the 14.8.0 release, scheduled for November 2025, the legacy UI will be formally retired. From that point forward, the New UI will be the sole interface for accessing Datto RMM. For detailed information, see the FAQ: Legacy UI deprecation and New UI transition, and let us know your thoughts in the Community.
About the release
The 14.4.0 release is the sixth of our 2025 releases. Please see below for the highlights, along with the full list of fixes and improvements. As always, we look forward to your feedback as we continue to improve the product every single month.
Microsoft 365: Create a shared mailbox when offboarding users
With this release, when you offboard a Microsoft 365 user in Datto RMM, you will be given the option to convert the user's mailbox to a shared mailbox, and share it with one or more users, ensuring that the offboarded user's access is removed while retaining internal access to their communications.
You can enable and configure shared mailbox settings on the Offboard [User] page when offboarding Microsoft 365 users. Refer to Offboarding a user or revoking a user's access.
Additional functionality added to the RocketCyber Status widget
The RocketCyber Status widget now allows you to drill into a filtered list of devices, with additional filtering options and device actions available.
Updated process to purchase additional licenses
Shortly after the 14.4 release has been deployed across all platforms, license purchases will be migrated to be handled exclusively through the Kaseya Store or directly via your account manager. Refer to Licenses.
NOTE To access the Kaseya Store from the Licenses page, you must be logged in to Datto RMM using KaseyaOne Unified Login.
ComStore access removed from the legacy UI
To support the planned deprecation of the legacy UI in the 14.8 release in late November, we are beginning to phase out additional components of the underlying architecture.
Starting with the 14.4 release, the ComStore UI will no longer be accessible from the legacy UI.
Users who attempt to visit the page will be directed to the New UI via a provided link on the page.
Datto RMM interim releases
Starting with the 14.2.0 release, the Datto RMM team is reaffirming its commitment to delivering important updates more frequently through officially recognized interim releases. These releases will typically include urgent bug fixes or minor enhancements and will not require scheduled maintenance windows. A roll-up digest of the updates since the previous full release will be included in the reintroduced Updates since the last release section, which appears below.
Additions to the ComStore
We release new ComStore components and update existing ones every month. Notable additions this month include the following:
- Arm64 Support: All ComStore components used for standard Software Management now support deployment of Windows Arm64 versions on applicable hardware where such builds are available. The migration requires the user to toggle the usrAction switch to Upgrade; the default installation behavior will retain whichever architecture the software is already installed as.
- .NET Desktop Runtime: An identify action has been added to take stock of which .NET Desktop Runtime versions are installed on a Windows device. This is important, as apps will often request a specific major version of the runtime (such as 7.0, 8.0, and so forth), but the latest version of that major should always be installed.
NOTE To access a full list of ComStore components, refer to List of ComStore components.
Advanced Software Management: June updates
New titles:
- PowerShell 7.4 (32-bit)
- PowerShell 7.4 (64-bit)
- PowerShell 7.5 (32-bit)
- PowerShell 7.5 (64-bit)
