Deploying the Datto Backup Windows Agent (version 2.1 and higher)

To deploy the Datto Backup Windows Agent (version 2.1) via Datto RMM, follow these steps:
- From the left navigation menu in Datto RMM, navigate to Automation > ComStore and search for Datto (Backup) Windows Agent [WIN]. Refer to ComStore.
- Select the component and click Add. This will make the component available in your Component Library.
You can use the component in jobs and policies to deploy the Datto Backup Windows Agent to your endpoints. For more information, refer to Jobs overview and Policies.
What MSI flags can the component use?
The only supported flag that the component's MSI uses is SKIP_REDIST_CHECK=1. The lack of "/" is intentional.
The use of this flag should almost never be necessary. If you do ever find yourself in a situation where you need to use it, please contact Datto RMM Support so that our engineering teams can improve the component's functionality. Refer to Kaseya Helpdesk.
