NOTE  There is a slight adjustment to the 2025 release schedule to distribute platform updates more evenly across a two-week deployment window. This change allows more time to address any issues identified during the deployment, ensuring a higher-quality customer experience overall.

IMPORTANT  This is a full platform and Agent release; therefore, partners should expect brief disconnections of the Agent during the update window.

About the release

The 14.3.0 release is the fifth of our 2025 releases. Please see below for the highlights, along with the full list of fixes and improvements. As always, we look forward to your feedback as we continue to improve the product every single month.

Microsoft 365 Manager error message details for tenant sync

In the M365 Tenant Overview, when a Tenant sync status is marked as “Failed,” the status will act as a tooltip and present the specific error message when moused over. This enhancement aims to improve user experience, assisting both customers and our Datto RMM support team in troubleshooting efforts. Consequently, where needed, this will help facilitate the creation of additional knowledge base articles for any new or notable issues that may arise.

KaseyaOne organization data handling improvements

Datto RMM now leverages enhancements to the KaseyaOne data model to ensure consistent and accurate organization data across modules.

These updates introduce the following enhancements:

  • Reliable deletion flagging
  • Expanded organization attributes
  • Standardized retry logic

These improvements help to support and improve the reliability of features such as Integrated Customer Billing and Organization Dashboards, and lay the groundwork for seamless integration with KaseyaOne’s upcoming Organization Mappings functionality.

Datto RMM interim releases

Starting with the 14.2.0 release, the Datto RMM team is reaffirming its commitment to delivering important updates more frequently through officially recognized interim releases. These releases will typically include urgent bug fixes or minor enhancements and will not require scheduled maintenance windows. A roll-up digest of the updates since the previous full release will be included in the reintroduced Updates since the last release section, which appears below.

Legacy UI deprecation notice

With the 14.8.0 release, scheduled for November 2025, the Legacy UI will be formally retired. From that point forward, the New UI will be the sole interface for accessing Datto RMM.

For detailed information, please see the FAQ: Legacy UI Deprecation and New UI Transition, and let us know your thoughts in the Community.

Additions to the ComStore

We release new ComStore components and update existing ones every month. Notable additions this month include the following:

  • Arm64 Support: All ComStore components used for standard Software Management now support deployment of Windows Arm64 versions on applicable hardware where such builds are available. The migration requires the user to toggle the usrAction switch to Upgrade; the default install behavior will retain whichever architecture the software is already installed as.
  • .NET Desktop Runtime: An identify action has been added to take stock of which .NET Desktop Runtime versions are installed on a Windows device. This is important as apps will often request a specific major version of the runtime (such as 7.0, 8.0, etc) but the latest version of that major should always be installed.

NOTE  To access a full list of ComStore components, refer to List of ComStore components.

Advanced Software Management: May-June updates

Discontinued titles:

  • Skype
  • Java(TM) SE Development Kit 8 (64-bit)
  • Java(TM) SE Development Kit 8 (32-bit)

NOTE  Java updates are available only on the Oracle website for registered users

Refer to Advanced Software Management and Advanced Software Management application catalog.

Updates since the last release

Jobs

Type Summary
Foundation Job scheduling reliability has been improved by redistributing the workload across different instance types.
Fix Jobs will now expire after the specified expiry time, even for devices that remain offline during the job execution. Any jobs that are still active on a device at the time of expiry will only be terminated once the component execution time surpasses the defined duration.
Fix Components with a null timeout (timeout set to 0 seconds) no longer cause errors during job scheduling.

Global Search

Type Summary
Fix Searching by Microsoft 365 user or email now returns accurate results.

Policies

Type Summary
Fix Software Management and Endpoint Security policies are no longer erroneously disabling individual devices when the user disables the policy for one or more Sites.

Web Remote

Type Summary
Foundation Improved performance by optimizing key processing functions, resulting in faster screen updates and reduced lag during remote sessions, especially when large amounts of data are sent or the screen changes frequently.
Foundation Connection diagnostics have been improved with enhanced logging for ICE (Interactive Connectivity Establishment), the framework used to establish peer-to-peer connections. These changes help investigate errors such as error code 701 by providing greater visibility into connection issues.
Foundation WebRTC connection type displays are now more accurate, clearly reflecting the underlying connection details in each direction to prevent confusion caused by mismatched or misleading labels.
Foundation Performance has been improved by reducing browser processing delays and eliminating warnings that caused perceived lag during remote sessions.
Foundation The misleading GPU acceleration label has been removed from the settings to prevent confusion with documentation and unrelated agent configurations.

Updates in this release

Advanced Software Management

Type Summary
Fix The standard output from software package deployments is now accessible by clicking the Software card under the Managed section on the device page.

Agent

Type Summary
Fix The Datto RMM Agent installer for Windows now correctly downloads as an executable (.exe) file when the site name includes a comma (,).

Audit

Type Summary
Fix The Last Reboot data for macOS and Linux devices will now be updated following a cold start or reboot, rather than only after a sleep/wake cycle.

Branding

Type Summary
Fix The default text in the Reboot Text, Restart Now Button, and Postpone Button agent branding fields will now appear as placeholder text. This placeholder is replaced when custom text is entered. This change ensures the default text remains visible, addressing a recent bug that removed it to allow for proper translation by the local operating system. The Restore Defaults option will continue to reset the placeholder content to the default when selected.

Jobs

Type Summary
Fix Scheduled jobs no longer encounter an error when the end time is set within a couple of hours after the start time on the same day they are scheduled.

Patch Management

Type Summary
Fix Patch policy with combined release date and severity 'between' criteria no longer results in an inaccurate patch status
