About the release

The 11.8.0 release is the fourth of our twelve monthly releases planned for 2023. Please see below for the highlights, along with the full list of fixes and improvements. As always, we look forward to your feedback as we continue to improve the product every single month.

Manually onboard network devices, printers, and ESXi hosts

You can now onboard network devices, printers, and ESXi hosts without requiring initial discovery by a network scan. Credentials can be selected from existing options or newly created directly from the Add Device page. You can save new credentials for later use at the global or site level. Refer to Adding a device, Managing and monitoring SNMP-enabled network devices and printers, and Managing and monitoring ESXi devices.

Monitor type and detail pane within alert overview

It is now easier to view details of the triggering monitor type on the Single Alert View page, including trigger thresholds, auto-resolution settings, and ticket routing information. Refer to Overview in Single Alert View.

Translation change requests

When viewing the web interface in a non-English language, you can now submit a translation change request for consideration from the Help menu. Refer to Help in Main features in Datto RMM.

IT Complete: common look and feel

We continue to smooth transitions when switching between IT Complete products by implementing more elements of the Kaseya Design System. This specification aims to ensure similar icons and stylings are used to help products feel familiar, even when encountered for the first time.

This release features updates to input fields, drop-down menus, check boxes, toggle switches, pagination, and radio buttons.

Row selection improvements

We’re continuing to remove limitations on the number of rows available for selection when performing actions on list items. It is now possible to select all rows on a page, or all rows across all pages, from certain lists using the new drop-down arrow next to the check box in the table header.

Implementing the new asynchronous processing approach requires working on each action and list combination separately. The actions and lists benefiting from the new approach in this release are as follows:

Additions to the ComStore

We release new ComStore components and update existing ones every month. Notable additions this month include the following:

  • 3CX Desktop Removal Tool: In response to the 3CX security breach, the action recommended by the vendor is to remove the 3CX Desktop software immediately. This component can remove all userland copies of 3CX Desktop from Windows devices.

NOTE  To access a full list of ComStore components, refer to List of ComStore components.
